You know, I just realized that our doctor doesn't really have the equipment to handle the kinds of things that Nate and I need to get checked out in regards to the spawn. Which mostly means the doctor has a low chance of convincing Nate to do anything if he should take the notion that he should be anywhere in the same country as me when I'm in labor.

Which would be dumb, by the way, Nate.

Soooooo, is Doctor Strange still here? I'd really like to know if my children are going to open a portal to hell or anything when they're born. So we can get them warmer booties, in case it's frozen over.

Now, before you get pissy, think about how well your brain will process that kind of pain coming from my end of the link.

I don't want you to have to deal with the pain.

And I will do better sharing with you than without you. Besides I can make sure neither of us feel pain.

That only increases our need for someone who's more familiar with us to be between my legs when the time comes.

That would probably freak out a normal doctor. Beside, the pain's probably necessary for something or other.

Makes sense anyway.

Bah. Pressure yes, pain, no.

I dunno. there's plenty of times when the pain of something happening has clued me in on important details. Like not using an arm while it has a sword in it. Don't think pressure alone would have done it.

It's your choice. Always has been.

I know.

And don't let me stop you from taking away most of the pain. Feel free. But just. . . make sure that I'm actually reacting and doing what needs to be done. I don't want to mess up and not do something that the body does naturally because it's in fucking pain.

Don't worry.

Pffft.

That's like saying 'stop breathing'.

Or 'leave the last brownie for later'.

Oh Goddammit.

Where are the best brownies made? Now I want some.

And it's your fault.

I don't think it's ethical for us to have a badly dubbed Asian teenager in our ship.

It's just asking for trouble.

Beside, then that damn kid and his money would be here, and there would be money fur in our hot tub.

I'm sorry, but what? You want me to deliver your baby? Babies? Exactly how many are there? Children who will bring forth a dark dimension or usher in the dawn of hellish creatures taking control does not put me at ease over your offspring.

I'm a neurosurgeon, but I suppose I could supervise the birth of your children.

Not deliver, just check out. And that was a joke. Really. I don't think there will be any opening of hell dimensions.

And there are two.

In our universe, you were there for a few of the high profile mutant births, mostly because of the parents. Wanda Maximoff's not children spring to mind, but there were others, I'm sure.

Of course, if you don't do that kind of thing, I understand. Different universes have different needs.

Well, inspecting the children's vitals isn't much different from an adult's and it's not as though I've never had infant patients before. I'd be happy to assist you, Domino. I'm currently residing in London, and I'm unsure of where you're having these children, but I can teleport to wherever you need me.

We're mobile, at the moment, so it would be pretty easy for me to get to London.

Beside, the flight from Italy to London isn't exactly arduous.

Alright, since the new London hospital isn't quite finished yet, I'll meet you at another. Where will you be going?

The Middle East. Giving a more specific location isn't a great idea.

But we can meet you where ever. What hospital are you most comfortable with?

Kent Memorial's London branch is not quite finished, and I am comfortable in any medical environment. You're children's birth, so you should be the ones to pick their birthplace.

Sounds good to me.

And you would know more about hospitals than I would, since the only time I've gone is for my prenatal stuff. I mean, in this world. We've got a private medlab that we use for any patching up we need, but it's inadequate for the kids' birth, especially if anything goes awry.
