I seem to have befriended a real fairy. The kind with wings and all, as in the stories they tell to children! I suppose this means that I am going to Hell for consorting with pagan deities -- then again, I have been a whore, I have married a woman outside the Church (and though she was my sister more than my wife, Dom Claude taught me that God does not differentiate between the letter and the spirit of His own law)...

I feel that mon maître would be terribly disappointed in me.

At the same time, this is really no different than he has ever been, so I am not overly worried. In this world, he has apparently been dead for several centuries anyway.
