Meaghan didn't know how anyone really looked forward to tests. Perhaps to get them over with, but to actually like them? Yeah, that was just weird. "There's always some in every bunch," she confirmed with a nod of her head. She wished she had liked school more than she had. Perhaps then she would have found something else to do besides just like quidditch, and do that and not find something else that she was good at. Something that would help her now. Because right now, she was feeling a bit useless in the skills department.
"I always remember that quote about how history is only written by the winning side. It hardly seems like we've won though," she said with a frown. "But it would be nice if we could all keep a record, so that it's lots of perspectives, even if every one is biased, yeah." Facts were hard to come by when everyone had a different opinion on anything. "Well I very much hope you're right. That no one ever has to go through this again. Maybe one day people will read what you've written and understand why we did the things we did." She wouldn't blame him for using harsher words. What they were going through was a nightmare.
She had confidence when it came to quidditch, and with her life before all this. Right now she felt completely out of her element. And she didn't know how she was supposed to be helpful in society. "Well I had thought about trying out the healing thing, but I think we already have a couple of those? Healers I mean. I know we're going to eventually need more food, more water. Perhaps even one day shelter. These buildings won't last forever. Plus I think eventually someone needs to figure out what exactly happened. And a way to make sure it doesn't happen again. I wouldn't mind learning how to make buildings or help to ration things, bottle things up for later. Make a surplus of food." She shrugged a bit.
