Laughing he nodded at the comment about tests. "I imagine a few students looked forward to exams." His mind thought of Penny when it came to tests. He could remember seeing her studying in the library when he'd venture in studying away. Randy had never minded exams. He was a Ravenclaw though, learning was among the most most important things to him. Exams had come easily for him, he studied as needed, and tended to do very well with them. He had Quidditch though while at school, and that kept him amused as well.
He nodded as she said it was the way to keep history. "The stories have to come from somewhere, otherwise we're left to guess what happened, or our ancestors will be left to guess what happened to us. Perhaps if we write it all down, they'll understand it from this prospective... History, always has some sort of bias to it, depending on who writes it. Of course we can keep with the facts, but what do those facts mean for society. It's why I'd like to keep what this is like on record. Hopefully the world wont have to repeat this situation again." Situation was only used because he didn't want to use the harsher words that he was thinking of. Keeping it a little detached with his own words made it easier to grasp it.
A curious almost frown crossed his face, but he washed the frown away quickly. Her lack of confidence, as it would appear to him troubled him a little. He did see any reason that she shouldn't have confidence, she was pretty, she had made a name for herself in the world, while things might have changed, the things she'd accomplished didn't vanish just because the structure for it did. "Is there anything that you've seen someone else doing that looked like fun to you?" He asked thinking on what would be needed in a new world.
