WHO: Lavender Finnigan and ...She can't say it! WHAT: She swings by to ask Arthur about the phones WHERE: Arthur Weasley's shop Things That go Ping WHEN: Late Thursday Evening RATING: Low STATUS: Complete
Since Seamus had returned from being Quarantined, the days had completely flown by. Lavender would rush home after work, just to spend the evening with him. That being the case, there were things she had needed to do that had been pushed to the back of her mind. One of those things, was to thank Mr. Weasley for the phone. But since they weren't working yet, she didn't really understand the need for them. She wanted to stop by his shop to thank him/ask him about them.
That happened to be the reason she had chosen to take the route she had, instead of heading straight home. It was late, and Lavender wasn't even sure if Arthur would be at the shop. Stopping at the door, she noticed the lights still on in the back and pushed the door open. "Mister Weasley?" She called out as she entered.
Things changed after that as she realized there was a crumpled form on the floor near the counter. The all too familiar ginger hair of the Weasley clan evident in the dim light. "Mister Weasley!" She cried as she hurried over to the body. She knelt down at his side and tried to find a flutter of life in the Minister. No pulse, no shallow breath, no nothing from the already cold body. Panicking, Lavender stood and looked around for something, anything really, that might help. She would have screamed, had that helped on the all too quiet streets. As far as she knew there was no one around.
Standing, Lavender looked around the store for any way to reach other people. A muffled rustle from a darkened corner, had Lavender pulling her wand. Upon closer inspection, it was a caged owl. There was her answer. She'd owl the healers up at Hogwarts. Someone up there would know what to do.
