He had the screws out and rotated the leg so the holes in the flange were lined up with fresh material and started screwing them back in. He watched her eying the hose then shook his head, "Don't even think about rearranging my system," he warned as he caught the hose then shook it at her. "I will never find any of my parts again." Mostly he was teasing, but there was some seriousness to it. Dex still hadn't forgotten a few years back when a helpful employee decided to redo their paperwork filing system. That had been a major nightmare.
Dex set the hose aside and finished screwing in the legs as he considered metal tables and how he could possibly avoid going through endless pictures of tables that eventually all looked the same to him. "Metal would give us a good look and be harder to break, but more expensive to repair. I'm not the best welder." Picking up the hose and tool box, he stood up and leaned against the bar. "Metal's cheaper though...more recyclable than wood."
So far the bar had been successful, but one of the reasons for that was that they were always careful with their profit margins. "Cheaper to buy but maybe more to repair..but more durable. Seems like something worth checking out since we've got at least four tables on their last repairs before I have to make them kindling."
