For a moment, it seemed as if Samir had reconsidered posing his question, and Eva almost returned her gaze to the monitors. But then he asked an incomplete question. Am I? Eva's eyes widened indicating she needed more information to puzzle out what the hand gesture meant. Was he what?
Oh. There it was. The brunette choked a bit on her pop, and had to take it out of her mouth to catch her breath, pressing the back of her gloved hand to her lips. She could hardly be considered an expert. She wasn't the pretty girl boys flocked to. She hadn't even been kissed since... well, since before Sam was taken. Mostly it was that she was too involved in the cause to consider a personal relationship like that. But there was probably something deeper than that, part timidity, part fear of letting people too close... and then losing them.
Still, her surprise only lasted a moment and a serious expression settled on her face as she scrutinized her friend (at least, she considered him a friend; she couldn't speak for his opinion of her). She hadn't thought of him as attractive or not, but yes, she thought now, he was.
"Yes. I think you're handsome," she said softly after a moment. A slight tinge of pink flushed her cheeks. This was a bit awkward. "And I think you're handsome according to general standards, too," she added hurriedly, before shoving the pop back in her mouth so she wouldn't have to say anything more about this.
