“Well enough,” Eva answered. No new news really, and nothing terrible, which was usually the kind of news she did get. So, well enough was an apt answer. In response to the second question, the hydrokinetic paused. She had planned on doing the bath, but Syd looked really bad. A bath might not be enough, and then she wouldn’t be able to do another treatment for a couple of days. Even though she had been doing them regularly for a long time, they were really at the edge of her power.
“Let’s do a fusion,” she said suddenly, getting up to grab something from the kitchen. She’d need energy. And she’d likely also just pass right out afterward until tomorrow morning. “You should fill the tub so I have something to work with, ok?” Eva opened the fridge and grabbed a soda, then spotted the bag of dried fruit chips on the counter and grabbed that to munch on while the tub filled. Pausing before she flopped on the couch, she asked, “Do you want any help? You look a little stiff tonight.” Maybe she should fill the tub so Syd could rest.
