There were some minor blips of worry about Eva coming topside. They could have used the tunnels through the club wine cellar but at the same time, that could potentially put things more at risk and... Well, no one needed that. Syd needed to keep her cover and Eva needed to not chance getting her mutations seen. The kid didn’t need more problems after her brother getting tossed in the clink. When Eva knocked, then announced herself ears perked up slightly.
“Doin’ alright, yaself?” The aussie accent would be present and that was half the reason why she used a voice changer when they went out on the field. Shifting lazily, Syd would glance back to where Eva had stopped. “What’s the treatment t’night?” The aussie had a pretty good guess, but she didn’t want to overtax the girl either. So, the choice would be left in Eva’s, thus far proven to be very capable, hands.
Shifting and moving to stand the briefest flash of pain would streak across her face before getting to her feet. Moving past Eva stiffly the door would be locked before she’d turn to face the girl. Taking a moment to look over the other a nod would be given to the appraisal that Eva had indeed made it safely here before Syd shifted, a nod given to the kitchen. “Picked up summ’a the stuff ya like since I assume ya spendin’ the night, yea?” A moment would pass while she waited for the reply before a glance would be given over the girls shoulder. It was a good thing she took the night off from the bar, she’d be kicking herself right now if she had even tried.
