Daphne and Terence.
Daphne was curious as to why Christian hadn't taken the initiative to invite her, but perhaps he had seen that she would be attending with Terence and elected to just let it drop. She wished that he hadn't, though, for she wanted to enjoy her evening and not spend the entire night wondering if Terence was plotting to get rid of her or something. She wasn't very keen on feeling as if she was being forced upon someone, and this was exactly what was happening tonight. Terence rarely ever wanted to spend time with her, and she would probably die of shock if he ever did want to see her on a regular basis. Although he'd probably have a high fever before that ever happened.
She was well aware that his compliment was as far from sincere as it could be, but she had meant hers at the very least. She brushed some of her hair out of her eyes and kept her hands to herself so that she wouldn't accidentally brush up against him or anything. She didn't want to make this any more awkward than it needed to be, because despite the fact that they seemed to loathe one another? They did kiss that night, even if it was to prove a point. She knew that it would do this to their 'relationship', though, she she really shouldn't be surprised.
A smirk fell across her lips as her eyes swept across the other people in attendance. "I'm quite confident that he will be able to recover nicely. At least I was able to obtain a mask that matches my dress," she pointed out, blinking to briefly lock eyes with his before she turned them away again, already starting to move in the opposite direction of where Terence stood. "I will meet you back here when it is time to leave, for I am sure my mother will know if we do not leave together."
