WHO: Brandon and Travis
WHAT: When the sister and the ladybro go missing, it's a srs issue.
WHERE: The jungle.
WHEN: Mid-afternoon
If it wasn't one thing, it was another. Maybe that was a douchey outlook, but he couldn't help but feel that way. Since they'd gotten here it'd been a series of shitty things, one after another. Lana going missing, Hads ending up in quarantine and now Lyd had disappeared. Admittedly, of the three, he was less concerned about Lyd. She was prepared to take care of herself a lot better than Lana, or even Hads, were. Plus, considering the fact that the last time anyone had seen Lyd was with Bea, he figured they were together. If there was anyone she had to be nabbed with, he was glad it was her. As glad as he could be anyway. That didn't mean he was just going to sit on his laurels and wait for someone else to find her, though. It was amazing, actually, how many people had been willing to help him out. He'd asked a few of the more adventurous people he'd seen around, and then taken a trip to the med station, figuring they'd need a medic or two. Normally, his instinct would've been to ask Cass, but someone needed to stay with Hads and the younger girls, to help her keep them from worrying. They'd been in the jungle for a few hours now. It was funny, how much time he'd spent out here lately for one reason or another. Seemed like everything he was doing happened out here. But it was fine. The exertion would eventually start to take its toll, but for now, he was good. "This is fuckin' retarded," he seethed. "People don't just disappear." He'd entertained a lot of possibilities in his head already. Zombies, animals, just generally getting lost... But Lyd wouldn't get lost, would she? She was too smart for that, and her sense of direction was too good, so that was out of the question. Which left the other two options. Pushing those thoughts out of his head before they could manifest, he breathed a sigh. The longer they were out here, the more those little twinges in his hip and shoulder started to affect him. The heat made matters all the worse. "Hang on a sec. Gotta take a quick break." He reached into his pack and pulled out two bottles of water, offering one to the medic. "Need water?" he asked, before turning to look at the rest of the group, looking in various directions around the small clearing they'd managed to find. |
