The woman she'd stopped to help had minor burns along her left leg and there wasn't much she could do to help her. They didn't have the supplies to deal with this, at least not at the ready. Maybe there were plants they could use, but that seemed less important than getting people out.
She was helping the woman loop her arm over another man's shoulder - he'd been kind enough to stop, unlike the first guy she'd asked - when she heard her name. The two of them we're off, pace quick despite the woman's injury, when she turned toward Travis, just as relieved to know the other medic was around to help.
"No, I just got here." Shaking her head, "I haven't even made it passed the door. People needed help." Which she figured he of all people would understand. "Deb and Lily had a playdate with Lyd didn't they?" She thought Ana had been excited about it this morning at breakfast. "Lydia'll make sure they all got out safe, don't worry." Carly though, she didn't know where her girlfriend was or who she was with. As much as she wanted to rush in and find her though, it wasn't practical. There was no way to know what floor she might be on by now, or if she'd even still be inside, and they had no gear.
The smoke down here was already thick enough, part of the ceiling already collapsed. No, the best she could do was help the people down here and hope everyone else would be alright.
A sharp cry for help sounded out ahead of them, near where the rubble from the collapse was piled up, parts still slightly on fire. "I think someone's under there." She didn't wait to see if Travis was coming with or continuing deeper to find his girlfriend, she wouldn't hold it against him either way.
