Oh, if only this guy knew Louisa. “You have any kids?” Nate asks, his amusement evident in his tone. “Mine has a habit of accomplishing the impossible….like getting off of an island by herself.” Although Heidi had designated herself the Louisa watchdog for this trip, so there was a high chance his baby girl wouldn’t manage that. He could never rule out his kid sister helping her though, so in truth it was just safer for him to stay vigilant in this.
“Thanks man,” Nate appreciates the information about the shops in Haven, although he makes a mental note to possibly have the girls check them out on their own. “And yeah, I think send one of my sisters by to talk with Allen, they’ll enjoy the conversation more than I will.” He pauses. “If you asked them they’re all surprised I can even manage to dress myself without looking homeless,” Clothing wasn’t exactly Nate’s top priority, never had been and probably never would be. “So talking about clothes or shopping might just be a sign of the apocalypse.”
Nate turns around to lean against the railing of the balcony, knowing he should head in soon, but enjoying the night air and the breeze too much to leave just yet. “Sounds like you’re speaking from experience when it comes to talking to this Allen guy.”
