There was a chuckle and a nod. "Only a little bit," Nate replied with the sort of amusement one might have when something was as obvious as this man's accent. At Louisiana's words he wondered what it would be like to have left your home so early - especially since he was fairly certain he was going to end up living and dying in Boston. "Something about the place you just didn't like?" He could choose to answer the question or not. Didn't bother Nate either way.
"Now see, you can't go saying something like that and not go and back it up," he countered with a good natured smile. "As my daughter would say, proof or it doesn't count." A line Louisa used on him more often than he cared to admit.
It didn't come as much surprise to him that this man was an employee of the place. He hadn't struck Nate as a guest, the man seemed too comfortable here. "Duck rock?" The questioning time was obvious in Nate's voice. "People really find that interesting, huh?" Despite his own disbelief at the thing being all that interesting, he made a mental note to tell his sisters and Lou about it - they'd probably get a kick out of it. "What would you recommend as sights to see?" Locals always knew what was really worth seeing. "You know, not the usual tourist fan fair shit."
