The random gigs he worked around the city kept his bills paid and usually gave him a fair amount of extra cash to spend how he pleased. Not enough that he would pass up the chance to make an easy buck by running a couple errands for some fast talking producer (who he was willing to wager would have happily paid someone else to chew and digest his food for him, had that sort of thing been a possibility). The off-chance of bumping into one of the models didn't exactly hurt his interest either. Especially considering most of the gig sounded to be along the lines of what he was doing anyways - making deliveries. Food orders, a couple packages that'd already been waiting for him at the little clothing store. Stupid things that were easily transported on his bike and required little thought or effort on his part, the best sort of way to make money in his opinion. Early today he had dropped off a package with the prop assistant - some junk they'd needed had gotten trashed earlier in the shoot (he thought anyways, he'd only half listened). Being around when he was had somehow gotten him roped into returning to Haven to pick up a lunch order (something about unexpected food allergies, again, he'd barely listened), marking this as his second time appearing on the sectioned off strip of beach serving as the day's set. It worked for him though, dropping off the food at the catering table presented him the rare opportunity to get close enough to one of the hot chicks working to engage in conversation. "Outfit seems all wrong for what they've got going on down there, otherwise I'd have pegged you for one of the models, love." Didn't matter if she didn't exactly give off warm and fuzzy vibes, he was sticking with the simple approach. "So what's that make you then? Some sort of assistant? Props department?" There was a teasing lilt to his voice. "What's that leave then? The actual photographer, yea?" |
