"You threatening to set up booby traps, Wy?" Actually, that didn't sound too far out of an idea for something he might do just to mess with her. Lucky for both of them this was a hypothetical ass-kicking that wasn't going to happen for real.
Though he had a fair point, there wasn't exactly a lot of just hanging out for the hell of it happening anymore, Deb didn't agree. "What would you know about the social scene, not like you ever hung out anywhere besides the bar to start with." More ribbing him, because of the two of them she was the one who never went anywhere before. "Don't really care if you make new ones, maybe just come out of your hidey hole here long enough to see us old ones sometime. Otherwise we might start forgetting what you look like." Said as if that'd be a real tragedy. "I've even got an occasion you could work on your social skills for. Trav's birthday's coming up. Can't really throw a party or anything, but you should come 'round for dinner or do one your weird guy days." Even though it never seemed to end well when the two of them spent too much time alone together.
Definitely acting suspicious, but the question was about what? She hadn't seen him and Kendall together much lately, but even if she had it wouldn't have clued her in to their relationship shift. The two of them had always been fairly flirty in her opinion, it was just the way they talked and bantered. Both too confidant and seemed to find humor in pushing the other's buttons. Without that to be suspicious about, she really had no idea. Actually begged to question if he wasn't being especially assy now just to mess with her further, which again, she wouldn't put past him. "If you're an open book, you're one that's written in friggin' Latin or something. Not worth the headache to decipher." Probably, anyway. Which wasn't to say she wouldn't keep looking for an answer when he was around, just that it wasn't one she was going to actively pursue yet.
"It's what I'm here for." She hadn't expected her projectile to have landed close enough for return fire and barely dodge it. "Ah, so that's your real plan. Let Jere clean up your mess so they can all moon after him like some kinda knight in shining armor." It probably wasn't far off from the truth though, lots of women seemed to find themselves smitten with the older man. "Don't know if it sounds like as much fun now. Got a feeling instead of getting a bunch of women mad at you, all I'm gonna end up with is a harem of women trying to get me to clue them in on what your boss is into." Which she was decidedly not into the sounds of. "And I couldn't probably even pawn them off onto you instead to get a laugh that way, since they'd still all think you sucked." Deb shook her head. "No win situation for me right there, so I guess you're off the hook."
