Undoubtedly any one of the response that had flashed through his thoughts would have been amusing. The one he settled on was appreciated if only for it's honest simplicity. The pet name though, that was met with a quirked eyebrow. Another tick in a long list of things she didn't necessarily know how to feel about. "Guess we'll see about that," she said just a beat slower then she'd meant to. It was hardly the first time she'd been referred to in a similar manner, but this wasn't exactly the same as some random person she was hitting on in the bar when they'd both already had a couple drinks too many. Logan decided she wasn't going to think too hard about it, better to chalk it up to habit and move on.
Hard to remember sometimes that not everyone actually knew everything about you, just that it felt that way sometimes. "When I sleep." Edging too close to truth there, seemed to be a common occurrence when talking to him. So Logan shrugged a shoulder and switched gears. "Can't fit three beds into our room, wasn't about to let my baby sister or cousin take the cot." It didn't bother her, not really. The two of them actually seemed to sleep, better they be comfortable.
It was difficult to not return that smile with one of her own, and since she couldn't actually think of a reason why she shouldn't, Logan didn't. "Maybe I'm trying not to scare you off so quickly," she pointed out. Not really an answer, but then some of how she passed her time really wasn't any less reckless then his choices and that hardly seemed like the sort of thing to advertise.
"After I made you jump through hoops to earn the points to start with? That'd be mean even for me." Maybe that wasn't as amusing an answer to him as it was her though. Logan didn't really even plan to make him jump through hoops for any of it, seemed too much like playing games. If she'd been smarter, even if nothing else that'd happened so far had, this moment right here should have tripped some kind of alarm in her head that screamed they were heading toward deep waters and maybe that wasn't a great idea. She wasn't though, and she didn't care that sticking two broken pieces together rarely resulted in anything you wanted to look at either. For now being around him was oddly comforting and she was selfish enough for that to be all that mattered. Which is why she knew she was smiling up at him, this time without any of the sly amusement from before - just a genuine sort of smile. "Alright, Giant."
"Doubt that's true. I'm pretty sure she woulda asked if I hadn't beaten her to the offer." Just the vibe she got from the stubborn little pit bull, but that was probably why she'd taken such a liking to her. He had a point, yet Logan couldn't see the harm in giving her the addition of security. "Probably not, but you keep her on too tight of a leash and she's just gonna keep deciding to follow random people wherever she wants. At least this way you know where she is." Maybe she should have just kept her mouth shut and her opinion to herself, but she'd never been great at that.
Okay, this time Logan looked just slightly apologetic - but just slightly. Anger would have been decidedly more easy to deal with, certainly wouldn't have left her with a hint of guilt. "Figured you might." She held back though from pointing out that it was going to happen whether he liked it or not, seemed like she'd crossed enough lines for one conversation. If it felt like he might be letting her off the hook too easily, well Logan wasn't going to dwell on it. Instead she gave a firm nod, "Yes, sir. If it comes up ever again I will make sure I've got your full permission and approval." She could own up to the fact that she should have asked the first time. "You wanna sit in on her lessons, you're welcome too." It was a sort of peace offering, even if it might seem off. Smoothing back some baby hairs that were trying to plaster themselves to her forehead, Logan quirked a small smile and shook her head. "Kinda doubt that, but I don't mind if she does. She was good company." Some of that seriousness crept back into her features. "You sure you're alright with that?"
