“Yeah, and some other kids,” Louisa answered. “But it’s not really the same.” The young girl let the subject drop at that point, it wasn’t like things were going to change - not when her dad seemed to like outright refuse to date. She had her opinions of Logan and wasn’t going to be swayed, even if other people didn’t think she was all that nice.
Instead of really speaking, Louisa just nodded her head in agreement. Her dad would have said no if he wanted to. Lately though he didn’t say much of anything to her, which was worse than him actually disciplining her.
“We have to.” She agreed - no doubt in her mind that somehow, some way they would find a way off this island. “Isn’t life kind of dangerous no matter what now?” Louisa asked as if it was obvious that most anything was dangerous.
Louisa nodded. “Yeah, I bet he’d even tell you about them,” she paused. “Although I’m like obligated to claim my innocents in all of it. Because I was totally innocent, I swear.” She wasn’t, not even a little bit. But even at eleven she was well aware of claiming she was innocent until it was proven otherwise. “Considering I’m allowed to go like two places, it’s probably a bad idea for me to rile Carly up, or else I’ll have to start avoiding the greenhouse.” And she liked the greenhouse.
“In that case I’m totally coming out here to hang out more often.” Louisa answered, thankful to have another place she could go.
