The thing was, there weren't really any favors being asked lately that Leo felt the need to turn down. Sometimes the trade off wasn't actually worth the work, but he liked the ego boost of helping people and it did a lot for his image. Since there wasn't a whole lot he wasn't down to do though, he usually had some sort of errand he could run every couple of days. Occasionally there would be a lull though - never very long, a week was the record so far - and he would start to get restless. Hiding out in the apartment with the others was safe, but it was also boring and made him stir crazy. Without a particular task in mind, general looting was usually a good fall back. One could never really have enough supplies at their disposal, plus his usual weapon of choice was looking a little worse for wear after it's stint trying to pry doors open the week prior. Even better then looting on his own, looting with a feisty and incredibly hot partner who liked to talk movies and keep him on his toes. Which is how he'd found himself at the pawn shop, attempting to sweet talk Renata into coming out to one of the nearby apartments to dig through other people's stuff with him. Said invitation may have been delivered with just a little too much enthusiasm (or just outright flirting), guessing from the grumpy chaperon they'd acquired. (But then, for all he really knew, maybe Mason was just bored, or simply didn't trust him not to get Ren killed.) Not that Leo actually minded. Mason's presences was hardly enough to dissuade him from hitting on Ren, and most of the time they got on well enough. And hell, an extra set of eyes was bound to find something worthwhile among all the junk left behind. And there was plenty of junk in the different apartments he'd popped his head in as they'd passed by so far. "Think that last apartment looked the most promising so far." But he was open to looking at a different one if that was their preference. |
