Ryder Olson does not want to be zombie chow (rydeon) wrote in undeadsiegeic,
Though it hardly looked the same as hers, Ryder was all about a little escapism. It was good to check out, at least partially, from their current situation every now and then.
For him, it was about filming. They got lucky, being set up in the huts they weren't connected to the resorts generator. Solar power charged the lights and couple outlets in each hut, which meant the battery on his camera was still charged up. Which meant he was able to occasionally film what was happening.
The idea of piecing together a documentary once they got home was still kicking around in his thoughts. Maybe people would still think it was a hoax, but faux-documentary style films were always popular.
It was happenstance that he would be close enough to overhear the first few strums of guitar. It was pure Ryder that he felt compelled to venture closer to find out who was playing. After all, most of the survivors were terrified to make any unnecessary noise.
Whoever was ballsy enough to risk attracting zombies to play some tunes was someone he wanted to meet. And since he had his camera handy, well he chose to utilize it.
It wasn't hard to spot the strumming blonde. It was actually pretty picturesque. Just her, alone by the pool, playing away. Certainly not a shot he could have captured if there hadn't been zombies, wiping out half (or more, he wasn't sure) the resort guest. The pool had always been busy before.
After another minute of watching her play, he cleared his throat. "As awesome as that sounds, not sure this is really the best local for a jam session?" At least, he highly doubted she wanted to have a party where the only guest were zombies. "You're good though, so totally don't think this is me trying to politely get you to stop." Shooting her a wide smile, "Trust me, I'm not that polite. I'd just tell you to stop. Just, you know, zombies."
