As soon as Alex saw Kara, she sagged with relief, grinning as Kara's arms closed around her. She dug her hands into her upper back, taking comfort in having her close. She knew, by some odd twist of fate, that this Kara hadn't experienced what she had. The last thing she remembered from home was telling Lena her secret and feeling hopeful that it would work out, which meant Alex had a lot to catch her up on.
"God, it's good to see you, Kara." She gave Kara an extra squeeze and pulled back to look at her. "I can't believe you've been gone for months. I just saw you." The whole thing was going to be blowing her mind for a while, but she'd learned how to adjust quickly over the years.
"You're doing okay? You look okay." The concerned big sister in her came out nearly immediately as she took her sister in. "What've you been up to? I want to hear everything."
