"I think it's pretty healthy, actually," he said after a moment of thinking about it. "I mean, you haven't been here all that long. You're still kind of walking that line between denial and acceptance. Took me a little while to stop trying to get hold of Rachel, so I get it."
A slight laugh. "I think just about the only person who's any kind of happy with the fact that we can't contact anybody back home is Dr. Fenway, but that's just because he's dodging three ex-wives. I know he misses his son."
He couldn't imagine what that was like; it was bad enough that he was married and couldn't reach his wife. He knew how much Fenway loved his son and he knew it had to have been killing him not to have any kind of contact with the boy.
