Claws dug through her back as she was ripped off of the ground. She couldn't scream as blood ran from her body like a river. Now Alex woke up screaming. She kicked back on the carpet and fell hard into the movie shelf behind her, toppling movies and the the shelf over in one hard push and continued to scream. You're not going to remember any of this, but here's what you're going to do... The pressure on her neck from the sudden gust upward had only hurt for a moment before it was over, her body went limp as it was carried off into the sky by the massive dragon. Alex crawled to her feet and spun around in the darkness. She died. She died. Kol's cocky smirk spread across his face as he pressed a gentle hand on to her shoulder and stared her down with his dark soulless eyes. Alex stumbled over the movies towards the door, heart pounding out of control as his face flashed before her. His eyes, his eyes that grew black veins underneath them as his teeth extended. That night. She touched her neck. The story about Chester. Chester. You won't remember. She saved your life from a monster, you were so drunk and foolish, you nearly got yourself killed, Darling. The giant shadowed creature had dropped from the sky and she couldn't even move. She couldn't scream for help. Alex screamed now. She screamed so hard and loud that she thought the glass might shatter around her. Her hands fisted her hair as she crumbled uselessly to her knees until the air ran out of her lungs. You're not going to remember this... Tears ran from her sopping wet face down her neck and soaked the front of her shirt. ...no matter what happens... Alex tipped forward and touched her head to the carpet besides her tablet. ...don't scream. |
