There was no one else in all the world he cared for and certainly no one else that would have him besides. Jorah knew well how deeply he had hurt and wounded Daenerys and so he would continue to tread lightly with her. He would be her counsel as he had sworn and would provide her his own wisdom if he ever felt that she were in need but he would otherwise do his utmost to never again materialize any further aspirations with his Queen. Instead he relished the smile that was for him and the squeeze of her small hands before she withdrew, beckoning him to follow.
"I would not have it if you could, your Grace", Jorah responded while thinking of Bear Island. As much as he often longed to see his ancestral home again that desire had caused him to wrong his Queen once already and he would not have it again, let alone allow her to reward him that capacity.
"Your brother was wrong about a lot of things", he replied, idly thinking of the last time he had seen the boy who fancied himself a dragon. In fairness Jorah supposed he had received his crown of gold after all. But such memories receded as he considered Daenerys predicament and shook his head. "You may be able to walk through fire, my Queen, but this world up here is made of ice and snow." Instead of taking the seat she offered he slung off his heavy fur lined coat and draped it ever so carefully over Daenerys's shoulders. "Winterfell has a variety of hot springs, that's why the castle was built here, but even still you must dress accordingly at all times."
"Unless you fancy sitting in one of the hearths, of course", Jorah went on as he took his seat, leaning forward to pour Daenerys some wine. "Although I imagine it would be rather cramped, even for you." Jorah was not typically much for humor but his Queen seemed to need it. Not that he was any good at it, of course.
"As for the Northern people.. well, we are stubborn. Set in our ways. The King in the North certainly makes it more of a hurdle for you but your very presence here means something, and will mean everything once the real war begins. Then they will begin to know you as I know you."
