Who: Sam and Ruby What: Running into an old someone. Where: Near the hardware store. When: April 9th; Afternoon Rating: TBD
He didn't have a gun, as much as he wished he did. Sam was only armed with two small knives that he picked up from the hardware store and a tiny container of salt. He told the girls that he'd been hunkered down with to stay put. He wanted to take a look around the surrounding area just to check for others. If there were others that lived here, maybe they could explain what was going on.
And no offense to Jo, but she was alive. Breathing when she shouldn't be. Sam wasn't about to let her start walking around when it wasn't safe, whether she was armed to the gills or not. Plus, it was better to have someone to stay behind with the other two.
Keeping alert, Sam kept a hand on the knife in his jacket pocket. He wasn't letting it go until he got back inside the hardware store, safely behind the lines of salt and boarded up doors. Call him paranoid, but he'd been through too much in the past few months to just let go and start not caring. Especially, in a situation like this one.
Sam rounded the corner, moving towards the back of the store. Fingers crossed he found someone, but he wasn't holding his breath since things looked fairly empty.
