It wasn't Anne that had eyes and ears everywhere so much as it was her father and her Uncle. But, she was one of the Queen's ladies so she had seen a few of their encounters before they were dismissed from the room, and she was certain he was no longer in love with Katherine. He was, at the very least, growing more frustrated that she was getting older and he had no legitmate son to take the throne after his passing.
Anne returned the kiss, bringing up her hands to gently hold his face. When they parted, she gave him a shy smile, and her eyes filled with desire, promise and perhaps a hint of love, looked into his. "I should go," she said, her voice breathy and husky with desire.
