The King had come to visit, her husband had been sent word and he wrote back – acknowledging the child, considering he was to claim it, and that his wife was healthy and doing well after the birth of "his" second child. William had been able to stay on the manor for a few extra weeks, considering the King had come and Sir Carey was to come by at some point in the near future – William would be in charge of taking care of the stables and their horses. He didn’t mind staying in the country, he gladly wrote back to Norfolk – thanking him for the trusted charges of taking care of such important people.
She was still tired and it was understandable but she couldn’t stand being cooped up in the house any longer – he mounted a horse for her, asked the ladies inside for a small pillow and some blankets so he could pad the saddle for her and make it comfortable enough for her to ride. He walked, drawing the horse that she rode at a slow pace through the field. "How are you feeling?" It wouldn’t have been very proper for him to want to know about her health – if they weren’t such close, private friends.
