She was the envy of many women ... both in England and Portugal, she had confidence, strength, power (in her own way) and she carried it all with the elegance of her station -- everything that she was meant nothing when she was in his arms. She felt nothing like the strong woman that trudged the English court, she felt like any other woman in the arms of the man that woed her -- she felt weak, light headed, like she needed the laces in her corset loosened. And, she clung to him as if so. As if she would refuse to let him set sail for England after her marriage to the King.
"Better," she said with a minor smile. "Now, that you are here," the mention of her wedding brought her eyes to shift away from him and even for her to take a step back -- her arms returning to her sides. "No, I will be Queen of Portugal."
