It was modern day. Everything was done with electronics and it was easier for a reporter to gather information on a recorder and have it to refer to later, rather than rely solely on ones mind. A mind could be forgetful of small details, even if it was seasoned and sharp. So the recorder would have to do for now.
When he learned in to speak into the recorder, Lois beamed and shivered just slightly as he greeted the tape recorder.
Goodness he was polite. All of those thank you's and such. A girl could get used to being treated like a real lady and not just another bull in the pen.
"Yes, many actually." Lois replied, holding the device between them, but far enough to where they wouldn't notice it but where it could still capture their voices clearly.
"Well, Superman, lets start from the beginning." Lois said, calm and cool as she prepared herself for the interview. She tried not to show her full excitement. Her heart raced a mile a minute, but she breathed out and kept her wits. "Where were you born? Obviously not Earth. I've never seen an Earthling that can do near the things you can."
