Lois had been busy all day in the bullpen. She was typing up a story on the latest sighting of Superman. He was all anyone talked about. She had heard the whispers, and knew that Superman was better than some of the opinions that the citizens of metropolis were offering for the hero. Lois could see between the lines. Always could. She knew Superman was destined for greatness and she had a hunch that if Superman meant wrong he would've already gotten the ball rolling on a diabolical scheme.
No no. That didn't sound like her Superman at all. She knew he was good. All of the acts he did proved it and she was currently trying to get the people of the city aboard the Superman bandwagon. If the people loved him, then they would support him and hopefully Superman would stay around.
She had gone for a break, heading to get a snack, to keep her mind fresh and on the story. When she came back from the vending machine there was a note on her desk that hadnt been there before.
"A friend, huh?" She breathed, after picking up the note and reading it. "I wonder..."
When six pm rolled around finally, after a little bit of nervousness on her part though she wasn't going to let that show, Lois gathered her things and headed up to the roof top of the building. She wondered of Superman would be there. She hoped so. Someone had left his marking and she hoped it wasn't a practical joke.
Pushing through the door that would lead to the roof, Lois walked onto the roof top, heels clicking as she moved. She looked around for her "friend" and the paused to wait once in the middle of the roof itself, near the helipad.
