There was a quiet war raging around them; Dumbledore dead and things at the Ministry tense, but right now, Tonks didn’t care. She and Remus were married, and the privacy of their flat was like a sanctuary from the outside world. In here, they were just a happy, newly married couple with no (okay few) problems or concerns, just in that honeymoon stage where all they wanted was to be together. Slipping into the kitchen of their flat, Tonks came up behind Remus where he stood at the stove. Wrapping her arms around his waist, she fitted herself against his back, slipping her fingers under his shirt and curving them over the waistband of his trousers to hold her close. Her bare feet arched up as she nuzzled his neck, pressing her lips to the spot just behind his ear, inhaling deeply and filling herself with the scent of him. "Mmm," she murmured, brushing her lips just over his ear. "So what’s for dinner? Smells like-"
But before she could finish that sentence, everything went fuzzy, her vision going black as she heard this faint buzzing noise in her ears and pressed her eyes shut. When she opened them, she was standing just as she had been before, pressed against Remus’ back with her arms around his waist… but it was quite obvious that they weren’t in their kitchen anymore. A path stretched out in front of them, with a gate overhead and beyond it… what looked to be Hogsmeade, only not at the same time. She could see Hogwarts, for example, but not in the right place, and… was that a sign that said Diagon Alley? What the bloody hell. As she dropped down to her feet (still bare) Tonks' eyes flicked up to the gate where she slowly read the words 'Trickster's Paradise'. "Er. Remy?"
Keeping one hand on Remus' waist, Tonks slipped around beside him, and caught sight of a man standing in front of the gate. He had a smile on his lips but his eyes were oddly blank as he held out a scroll to them. Tonks' Auror instincts were nudging at her, you bet like hell they were, and her free hand had already slipped into the pocket of her worn jeans to wrap her fingers around her wand and pull it out as she stayed close to her husband and said carefully to the strange man, "Um. Wotcher? Feel like telling me where exactly we are, mate?" Someone had better explain things and quick, before she made them explain.
