Ten days. It had already been ten days since that notice was made about the extraction of two of the most important people in Regulus' young life. Two people that may not have been how he remembered them but they were still everything he could have wanted them to be and more. Two people he had never had a chance to say good-bye to and once again he was denied that right. Of course the first time had been by choice...mostly. He supposed this was truly the third time when it came to his brother.
Yes, in the process, Regulus' mother had appeared and he was thankful for that. While it was still all so strange, especially with her being so young, it was a comfort to still have someone he considered family amongst the ranks of...commoners in this place. Both his Uncle Alphard and cousin Andromeda had been disowned in his time and at least for the latter she had already been so in her own time as well. It make it a bit more complicated with his uncle, but he at least tried for the sake of his mother who in reality only knew of Alphard in her own time. It was all so very strange and complicated and made worse with the sudden disappearance of Narcissa. It wasn't fair. It was as if this Trickster was purposes picking on his family and he really didn't like it. If he ever came across this so called potential "God", he would spit at his feet and call him out for the coward he is.
Regulus sat in the Three Broomsticks later that evening of what appeared to be the 29th of October, only partially hidden away in a back corner with a plate of food that was picked at and a glass of fire whiskey which had also been barely touched. The boy sat in silence pouring over his notebook to confirm how real it has all been having his brother here with him. From Regulus' own arrival until that fateful morning of the 19th. It was all there in his semi-detached cursive, though it read more like a tale than it did an entry of concrete facts. It had all felt so very real and...liberating. For so long Regulus had craved nothing but his brothers return to his life, even if it had to be in secret and here...he swore it had happened! Maybe the words on the pages he was rereading were just the recaps of a sweet dream. A dream where, while still little made sense, at least he was able to feel and ounce of happiness again.
They were suppose to play Quidditch...together. On the same team. It just wasn't fair.
