Who: Ginny & Harry (to start) What: Comforting, the simple need for each other's company, etc. Where: Their 'home' in the RoR. When: Wednesday. Warnings: Angsty probably. Status: In progress.
The second she'd seen the sign in the middle of Hogsmeade, Ginny had come back up to their home in the castle, looking for Harry, but finding him nowhere. Their son had been in her arms already and she'd not put him down since, not even when she'd opened up her journal in search of her husband. She couldn't put him down because her stomach was churning with the fear that if she let go of her baby for a moment, the Trickster might take him away. The same for her husband, too, and all she wanted was for him to get here so she could hold him and reassure herself that he was still here.
And of course, to comfort him, too. Because Ginny could only imagine what he must have been going through, to have his Godfather back only to have him ripped away. The Trickster was truly a cruel and horrible person to have done such a thing to anyone, let alone someone who had gone through as much as Harry had. Though Ginny didn't say anything out loud, for fear of angering their 'overlord' and being punished, in her own mind she screamed at him for doing this.
Having been reassured that Harry was on his way up, Ginny paced in their living room, holding Jamie on her hip and occasionally pausing to kiss his head, as if the softness of his dark hair and the warmth of his skin could reassure her that everything would be okay. But it wasn't enough, not yet. She just needed Harry to be here, soon, because she knew he needed her too.
