WHO: Evvy, Alanna & open WHEN: shortly after Evvy's arrival WHERE: a library in the Agriont
Evvy had been quite confused to discover herself in a hallway she'd never seen before. When she turned around to look for the realtor she'd been with, he was gone, and there was no one else in sight but Luvo, who was still in the sling on her chest. She had, however, noticed a door with her name on it, engraved in gold. Impressed by the material but entirely bewildered, she and Luvo had entered the room to find a bed, a desk, and a wardrobe. The wardrobe stood open to showcase Evvy's own clothes, and Evvy had wondered aloud how they'd gotten there, and where, precisely, "there" was.
After inspecting the room and reading the contents of the journal set on the bed, Evvy removed the now-empty sling from around her torso and called to Luvo. "I'm going exploring," she told him, looking down at the bear-shaped rock. He looked up at her from his place on the floor, where he'd been wandering about to explore the room.
"Very well, Evumeimei. I shall accompany you. I do not wish to be away from you in this strange place." "I wish I knew where we were." She didn't elaborate. Closing the door to her room, she followed Luvo down the hall, looking into open doors as she went. There did not appear to be much of interest. As they walked, she sent her magic out, looking for stone within her reach.
"There is very little, Evumeimei," Luvo told her. "I can feel it." "Yes, Luvo," she said absentmindedly, greeting and bypassing some nearby granite. There wasn't very much stone around at all. She hoped this would change soon--she didn't even have the stone alphabet Briar had given her. If she couldn't find anything, she would soon be miserable.
She picked up her strange friend to walk down a flight of stairs. Inspecting the next corridor, she found a library with a person in it! As this woman was the first human she'd seen since being here, she entered the library quickly before reconsidering. Maybe this woman wouldn't be so friendly.
Oh, well. It was too late now--surely her presence had already been noticed. She couldn't well leave without saying anything now. And anyway, it looked like she'd be able to take care of herself against this woman; Evvy was several inches taller.
"Hello?" she said, somewhat timid. "Do you know where we are?"
