Lily sighed as James pulled her in for a hug. She caught a whiff of his scent--a comforting mix of something woody, like a broomstick handle, and another masculine smell. She closed her eyes and discreetly took a deep breath.
She laughed at his comment about getting fresh. "James, I wasn't even thinking about that, to be honest. I'm not worried about the pace of this relationship...let's just take it one day at a time, okay?" She smiled, standing on her toes a little to kiss him. He really was quite tall. "So, are you planning to take me to Hogsmeade this weekend?"
A real date. Lily hadn't actually been on a date since fifth year. After years of denying James, she was the one asking him out now. Lily chuckled to herself.
