James grinned as he stopped laughing. "Oh, I have no idea. Come on. We got to put this broom away!" Without any hesitation, he took Lily's hand and ran through the quickly dampening grass, unconsciously linking their fingers.
He lead her down the field, idly wondering why he didn't just fly them, but he didn't think any more on it when he heard Lily laugh, as well.
Not much further in front of them was a broom closet by one of the Gryffindor stands. It looked a little run down from its age, but it still served its purpose. Hastily, James swung the door open, laughing and panting hard from running, as he leaned his broom against the wall.
