Lily trusted him. With the warm weight of his hands on her, and his body so close to hers, she realized that she trusted him more than she had maybe trusted anyone, ever. There was something about his touch, coupled with the confidence in his voice, that gave Lily courage.
"Okay. Here I go." She leaned forward again, just slightly, and the broom glided forward. Lily's heart pounded furiously in her throat, but the broom remained steady. After a moment, she smiled. "Hey, look, we're not dead yet!"
