Buffy forced out a shy smile to the two people, though deep down she was all business. Her 'spidey-sense' was tingling, and she was obsessed with thoughts of where she was, how she got here, what on earth happened, if anyone from Sunnydale was here... Deep down, she felt a little nervous to be without her friends.
"Guys, I hate to sound rude but... where am I tagging along to? What're you guys planning on doing? I think we're in some kind of set-up. God knows I've lived through enough of them to know when I'm in another one --I mean, people don't just wake up with a bunch of strangers in a weird town.
I mean... not that I have a plan or anything. I'm still shaking the cobwebs from my head." Buffy paused. "Ew. I really hate that metaphor." She took a small walk, looking at the objects in the church. It always seemed to make her feel safe to carry a cross on her, even though she wasn't religious. Buffy chalked it up to being a Vampire Slayer thing...
"Basically, what I mean is there's gotta be more of us, and something really big 'n bad behind all of this..." Buffy let her sentence trail. She knew she was rambling again, and let out a sigh to calm herself. After quietly snatching a small crucifix and tucking it into her jacket pocket, she chose to sit in one of the church's pews.
After pondering for a moment, she glanced to Epps. "You said something's following you? It could be a clue." --Buffy didn't want to come across as crazy, but she had every reason to believe the woman. It wouldn't surprise her in the least if some kind of demon-y spirit cult thing of some sort was involved... She just hoped she hadn't talked the two to death already.
