Gwen rarely spent much time not doing school work. Today was no different. It didn't matter that her classes didn't start again until Monday, she wanted to be ready. So she'd spent a great deal of her holiday break going over legal terms and brushing up on the things that she'd already learned. She didn't care for being cooped up all the time at home, especially since Wes worked as much as he did and she didn't particularly care for being alone. Because of this she'd become a frequent patron of the local coffee shop.
She had her favorite booth there, close enough to the counter that she didn't have to worry about leaving her stuff while she got up to walk to it to collect a drink. She'd been there for a while, laptop and books spread out over the table top, her cozy little home away from home. She liked being able to at least have some background noise while she did her studying.
When the barista called Andrew, she was already at the counter picking up her own warming beverage and she smiled at the man as he approached. "Morning," she said to him, flashing a smile. It was only right to be a friendly face to a stranger, perhaps it would be the bright point in his day. "Good choice," she added, eyes flicking to his cup as he picked it up. "The cappuccino here is divine." Her accent was still as thick as ever despite having been in Duskwood for some time now and did little to hide her British origins.
