That sucks. I prefer a trans-inclusive ENDA because I'm of the opinion that it needs to be done in one fell swoop so that it actually GET included, but that's just me. (Plus, I sometimes think it's a ploy to reduce the rates of transition by getting trans people to "be happy as gay men or lesbians and not having to turn straight". *headdesk*) Ms. Stanton is entitled to her opinions, however.
However, it's sad that I do agree with her about the trans community turning against itself. But that's because, if you give a group of people an identity label, they keep having to police it to know who's really "us" and who's a "traitor" or "faking it for attention". (I'm guilty of this too.) It's human nature; hell, it even happens with fictional characters.
