Setting: Murphy's bar, Curiosity
Murphy's bar was a dive - then again, most places in the cobbled together district that was Curiosity were. Temporary buildings, trailers and who the hell knew what else didn't generally give a place an air of class and sophistication.
Still, Murphy's did what they could. They generally had a good crowd, often had decent beer, and they had security enough that it was one of the safer bars in the newer areas of town. And, they tried. This was the first open mic night they'd run, hoping to attract customers that wouldn't normally grace their sticky panelled flooring. They'd set a small stage up in the corner, strung light up to light it - they'd even found an old piano somewhere, in case someone needed an accompaniment. Now all they needed were people willing to get up and perform - and people willing to sit back and, hopefully, enjoy.
