NEVER SEND PAYPAL AS A "GIFT" UNLESS YOU ARE BUYING/SELLING TO SOMEONE YOU TRUST. ALWAYS USE GOODS&SERVICES. GIFT PAYMENTS CANNOT BE REVERSED IF YOU ARE SCAMMED. USE THE RESOLUTION CENTER TO SUBMIT A CLAIM IF YOU ARE SCAMMED. IT HAS WORKED FOR OTHERS.

WARNING: If you're weary about a trade ask them to comment. If they do comment, a mod can check the IP. Let a mod know if they delete the comment AND only reply in PMs. This is usually a sign the person is a scammer. If you're unsure about anything, then PM sugar who will look into it for you (though please be advise we are not responsible if you go ahead and are subsequently scammed). ALWAYS USE CAUTION IF YOU'RE UNSURE

RULES 1. DON'T SPAM! If your post is still on the first page don't post again until it's bumped off. You should also NOT be making multiple journals to sell or ask for the same thing.
2. If you post about being scammed, do not screen comments. The person you're accusing has a right to defend themselves. Also other people who may have been scammed by the same person, or may have had good trades with said person should be allowed to say their peace . **Posts of this nature will be deleted if the poster is straight out lying to hurt someone.
3. Posts are automatically friends-locked so only members can trade, do not make your posts public or they will be deleted. It's easy to join, and it will hopefully keep the drama level down. IJ DOES know about this community and it's not against TOS, but you're trading at your own risk.
4. Don’t cheat people out of journals/trades. Don’t try to be slick and take without giving. Anyone scamming names out of people will be banned. Don't take back uns that were paid for or you traded for. Once someone pays for an un it's theirs regardless if they're using it or not.
5. If you've been banned and want to plead your case, please COMMENT the maintainer (

sugar) to let them know they have a PM and then send a PM with the info. Don't be rude or bitchy or your request will be ignored.
6. Be aware that trading is a risk in general. The only safe way to keep a username you trade for is to use a rename token to put the username on an account you created. If you don't rename it, at least change the password and email address. The mods are not responsible if things go bad
7. DO NOT DISABLE COMMENTING, you are free to have screened comments but there's no need to disable them.
8. When posting long lists use an <lj-cut> tag. There's an FAQ for it right here. Any uncut long posts will be deleted.
9. The TRADING and SELLING of personal pictures/rares is banned because of concerns over hacking. Your post will deleted.
10. Paying with gift cards or anything like gift cards is BANNED because there is no way to get a refund through a gift card or report someone to get back your money. We've already had scammers try to use this method.
11. Check the NFS LIST and BANNED LIST before posting in ~ts. If you post for a username on either of those, then your post will be deleted and you'll get a pm from the mod to let you know why. You won't be banned and you can repost.
12. IJ coupons are fine but only use them if you trust the person. There have been cases where people did try to report the coupons after getting scammed but it can be VERY hard to get a response from squeaky.
13. Selling/trading wire uns is banned because there is no way to safely trade/sell them. people have told me "if you do remove the devices on the account, someone can provide one validation email/successful login confirmation email to support and they'll turn it over to the other person". i don't keep up with wire's rules so if at any time this info changes then please let me know and we'll go back to allowing them
14. if you sell an un to someone do NOT take it back even if you refund them the money! you can't sell it, change your mind, and then refund the money without asking. it doesn't matter if the person hasn't renamed it, hasn't used it in weeks/months/years. it's against the rules unless that person decides they want to sell it back to you.
15. please do not post asking for money. people are welcomed and encouraged to give uns away for free, but flat out asking for people to donate money to you isn't what ts is about. posts of that nature will be deleted
16. everyone is strongly encouraged to use their own journals when doing transactions in ts. if you share a username with more than one person and one of them turns out to be a hacker then you're ALL linked and there's no way to prove how many people use the account. you can ask for an invite code in ts if you need one
