schedule change, recs by reccer, and other admin stuff Original poster: darththalia Happy New Year, everyone!
First, because our current group of reccers is a bit behind (thanks mostly to the December holidays, I'm sure, except for poor splix), I'm adding another week to the schedule. The next round was supposed to start on Tuesday, January 11, but I'm pushing the start back to Tuesday, January 18. So, current reccers, please try to get caught up between now and January 17.
obi_ki and hominysnark, you're welcome to post on your normal days during the extra week, if you'd like, as a reward for being on the ball. [g]
I believe the current numbers are: saxony - 5 obi_ki - 7 elance - 0 emmagrant01- 2 gaiaeagle - 5 splix - 2 hominysnark - 6
If y'all could try to get some in before Jan. 17, that would be great, but don't feel like you have to do them all. And thanks for your work during the holiday season! I know how tough it is to get things done then.
I'll post the call for the next round of reccers toward the end of this week.
In other news, on a terrific suggestion from gloriana, there's now a memories list of recs by reccer, so if you're fond of recs from a particular person, it'll be easy to track down other stories they've recced. This list, like the others, is accessible from the main tpm_flashback page.
As time permits, I'll try to set up a separate memory category for each reccer, to make browsing easier. Along those lines, is there anything I can do to make the recs by title and recs by author lists easier to use?
Finally, just a reminder that comments on recs are always welcome--either actual story discussion or just "Yay!"s. Reccers are always happy to hear that their recs are appreciated. | 1:14p |
Hidden, by Trudy West Original poster: hominysnark Title: Hidden Author: Trudy West Rating: NC-17 Pairing: Q/O Summary: Recovering back at the Temple after the events on Naboo, Qui-Gon keeps thinking about Obi-Wan but has trouble figuring out why. Warnings:None
Author's e-mail, web site and/or LJ id: truwest@hotmail.com, truwest

Reasons for recommending: A lovely, juicy exploration of Qui-Gon’s psyche post-Naboo. Told from Qui-Gon’s POV, this story shows him dealing with a multitude of issues--his own mortality, growing older, what direction his life should take, loneliness now that Obi-Wan is knighted and out on his own. And yet it never really devolves into high drama or angst. It’s a quiet story, thoughtful and contemplative, with just the right blend of humor, romance and poignancy.
