    The Junin Trilogy by Tem-ve

    Original poster: raina_at

    Hi!

I'm not going to do themed recs, I'll just rec stories that I loaded onto my PDA when I got it and haven't removed since, stories I re-read regularely and with passion.

    So here goes :-)

    Title: The Junin Trilogy
    Author: Tem-ve H'syan
    Rating: NC-17
    Pairing: Q/O
    Warnings: Warnings )
    Author's e-mail, web site and/or LJ id: tem-ve@gmx.de ; Tem-ve's 1001 Tales
    [info]temve
Link to story: Two Days from Junin
    A Day to Junin
    At Junin

Reasons for recommending: I've re-read these three stories so many times I can't count. (And I've been bugging Tem-ve for a sequel ever since I've known her, I think.)

As ever with Tem-ve, the world she creates in this series is athmospheric, vivid, sensual and wonderfully colourful. The narrator voice - old Gaucho Qui - is spot on, entirely different from Tem-ve's normal narrator voice and yet very much her style. The atmosphere is dense and sucks me right in every time I read it.
For me, he series unites the best of a good AU (characters who are their own people and yet retain qualities that make them recognisably Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan) with the flair of a very original piece of writing.
Also, the series is incredibly sensual and wonderfully, sizzlingly hot.

Well, later today became later next week, sorry about that.  This is my last rec here. Hope you enjoyed my JA offerings. I had fun re-reading them. And I may rec more JA stories in my own journal in the future, we'll see. Thanks for having me!

    Title: Joint Strength
    Author: Rene
    Rating: PG-13
    Pairing: N/A (gen)

    Warnings: Zip. )
Reasons for recommending: One last bang to end my run here. This is a wonderful JA mystery, does a great job at keeping you guessing about what happens next. I love the way Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon evolve and grow together while apart. The pace, the plot, the angst... all excellent! A fantastic read from beginning to end. This story remains intriguing even after being in the fandom for so long.
