I think the hard part with books or mine, anyway, is that you get a lot of inside info that isn't on tv. There are 12 about my world, plus a few short stories and 6 of those read like I kept a diary for a year. That means there is a lot and I mean a lot of stuff I never told anyone, even my best friend, about my private thoughts and feelings.
On the flip side, Caroline is right about the getting recognized thing. Most people around here know me as me because of the BATD and the gym and me and Liss being such public figures in Breck, but 9 out of 10 tourists think I'm Care's friend Elena, because that's who my face is most famous for and most people around here know better than to bring up the really personal shit. Mona got called a psycho by someone she's never even met the other night because her face is so utterly recognizable and you wouldn't believe how many people want to know since when could vampires have babies because they assume I'm Elena despite the baby bump. So, yeah, it sucks for all of us, but I'm personally glad my life isn't a TV show. I'd end up punching way more people than I already do if it was and Lissa and Sharon tell me I'm not actually allowed to punch tourists.
