Ann sniffed down her nose with a small, saddened laugh. "Well I for one am glad you did. It stopped when it needed to," she said curtly, as if that was the end of it. She tried to ignore him but his presence was alluring, driving her senses wild. She'd longed to smell him again and his scent was making her crazy. "You can spend a drink with me, aye, but I'd appreciate it if you didn't tell your old Pa," she said, fishing around for a glass, "I don't want another visit."
