Viv watched as he pulled away, retrieving a box. "Oh, Slater, you didn't... you've already spoilt me enough today!" She gave him a look of weak chastising, really not caring enough to have any real feeling behind it. She'd never been spoilt like this before. It was wonderful.
She gave his neck a gentle kiss before taking the box, opening it and peering inside. She stared for a moment before sliding down onto her knees beside his chair, glancing between him and the brooch. "Oh, darling..." She stared at it some more for a moment before looking back up at him, pausing before setting the box down so she could lean up and kiss him, holding it, her hand sliding into his hair again. She'd never owned something like that before, it had always been her dream to have something real pretty, and he'd just fulfilled it. "I... I don't quite know how to thank you," She murmured, chuckling quietly. Her own lack of words right then was apparent, her inability to articulate how she felt, and so she groped around in the dark until she settled on the one thing she did know how to say. "I love you, you know," She told him softly, avoiding his gaze for a moment, unsure how he'd take it.
