Subject: Needlework by candlelight is not easy to do.
Who: Thérèse du Labarre.
Where: The library, Chris' estate.
Open to: Christopher Blake.
Thérèse had been working on this damn embroidery for a good few weeks now. She just hadn't ever found the motivation to complete it, but tonight, something had compelled her to. So she'd packed up her sewing bag and it was off to the library; the library had better lighting than her own rooms. At least, it did.
The candles were burning down now, and the light was dim and the shadows were long. The flame cast a flickering glow over proceedings, but she was determined to finish, despite the encroaching darkness. She was on a roll, and she had a feeling that if she didn't complete this tonight, she never would.
She shifted where she was sat on the little loveseat in the reading alcove, sitting sideways in order to give herself a platform in her bent leg. Her hair was down and around her shoulders, and she silently regretted it as it kept falling into her eyes. Inconvenient, but there wasn't much she could do about it then.
