Well, he seemed much nicer now. Thérèse cleared her throat, lowering her guard just a little; perhaps he wasn't so bad after all. "Don't worry about it. My name isn't important." She straightened her nightdress, making sure it was covering her sufficiently, before she leant her head against the side of the chaise a little.
"You are forgiven. Christopher has spoken of you, and thinks highly of you, so I should like to get along well with you." She glanced towards the window, groaning for a moment before reaching down for her tea, sipping it. "I'm sorry for my less-than-cordial demeanor. I fear I drank too much last night at dinner. Christopher is very hospitable, but I should warn him next time to stop me before I get through too much wine."
