Hurst couldn't help but think it odd, that the boy wouldn't take any praise at all. But perhaps Aimé was being coy. Some men liked that in their companions, but Lord Hurst thought it detrimental to a boy of class and good breeding. Unless, of course, it was in a different setting all together.
